Your Favorite Smoothie for Weight Loss – Almond Milk Smoothie

I come across a lot of people, who think that weight loss involves being on a strict diet and eating tasteless food; but that is a misconception. As a Dietitian in Los Angeles, smoothies are very popular for weight loss. However, you can add too many or the wrong kinds of ingredients which can sabotage your weight loss efforts. I teach my clients how to satisfy their taste buds, their sweet tooth as well to maintain their health –in all just one glass of smoothie.  You can achieve this using almond milk as a liquid base. Here’s how.
Why Almond Milk for weight loss?

Almond milk smoothies contain a lot of beneficial nutrients that help you in many ways in your weight loss journey. This amazing alternative for cow’s milk contains antioxidants, vitamins and is extremely low in calories. And guess what; almond milk does not contain any fat. Here are a couple of recipes to try:


Almond Milk Berry Blast—
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 scoop of plant based protein powder
  • ¼ cup blueberries, frozen
  • ¼ cup strawberries, frozen
Put all the ingredients in the blender, blend until it is smooth. Serve in a large glass and drink.


The morning sunshine –
Nothing beats a morning that starts with a fresh energetic smoothie as a breakfast. This amazing smoothie prepared with the zesty flavor of lemon and ginger along with the sweetness of fruits will keep you refreshed the whole day.
  • ¾ cup Almond milk
  • ¼  cup lime juice
  • ¼ cup mango
  • ¼ cup pineapple
  • ¼ ginger, grated
  • Ice cubes- handful
Put all the ingredients in the blender, blend until it is smooth. Serve in a large glass and drink.
